Mediation Process

Consultation & Planning

The mediation process begins with a first meeting and a thorough intake assessment of your issues. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about mediation and whether it is appropriate for you. It will also allow you to identify the focus of your mediation, where you are in agreement and where you need to explore ways of coming together on issues where you differ.

Family Mediation

Mediation Sessions

A professional attorney mediator will act as a neutral party to facilitate your exchange of information and constructive communication while providing you with the legal information you need to make good decisions and effective agreements. Mediation sessions generally last one to two hours each and can be done over consecutive days or spread out over more time. We work from an agenda that we design with the clients so you always know what you've accomplished and what remains to be addressed.

Mediated Agreement

Agreement & Review

The agreements you make during the mediation process will be memorialized in a legally binding document that you will have the opportunity to review with independent counsel.

Family Law

Finalize & File

You can now finalize your agreement and, where appropriate, we will file all necessary documents and forms with the court. You are now free to move forward with your life!
